Why to extend your LC with an additional detector?
For certain compounds and parameters, classical detection techniques such as UV/Vis, RI or FLD might not be suitable. For this KNAUER offers special detectors and modules such as for pH monitoring, photochemical detection of chiral compounds.
To integrate even more detectors, KNAUER`s Interface Box IFU 2.1 can record analog data of every detector that supports analog output.

Raise your LC system to a new level
pH Monitor pH 2.1S
The AZURA pH 2.1S is a reliable pH monitor which is usually utilized in FPLC to follow buffer composition and elution conditions.
Combine this monitor with a pH electrode, a flow cell and additional pH accessories.
Interface Box IFU 2.1 LAN
The interface box IFU 2.1 LAN allows highly precise analog acquisition of data and control of 3rd party modules over analog and relay outputs. The IFU 2.1 LAN is required only if the respective instrument cannot be controlled or data recorded by the KNAUER software directly (digital I/O). The IFU 2.1 LAN provides 4-channel input/output. It supports high-speed chromatography at sample rates of up to 50 Hz if only one channel is used. It can be used with every KNAUER product.
Regarding power supply, choose F1518 in case only the IFU 2.1 is used in the system or the 24 V distribution box if the system also includes air or analog pressure sensors.
UVE UV Derivatization Module
The UVE system for photochemical derivatization is designed especially robust for daily operation in laboratories. It is user-friendly, flexible and low-maintenance. The UVE is delivered ready-to-use and can be easily integrated into any HPLC system. It just needs to be placed between the column outlet and the fluorescence detector.
The UVE photochemical reactor's working principle is easy and effective. It enables post-column photochemical derivatisation with UV irradiation at 254 nm for the analysis of aflatoxins, niacin (vitamin B3) or N-nitrosodiethanolamine (NDELA). No addtional derivatization reagents are needed.
Polarimetric detector Chiralyzer-MP
The CHIRALYSER-MP is a optical rotation detector for monitoring optically active (chiral) compounds in HPLC. Innovative flow cell design allows for multiple reflection (multi-path technology) and together with an optimized measuring wavelength of 430 nm results in outstanding sensitivity and excellent signal to noise ratio.
The CHIRALYSER-MP features touch screen operation with a clear menu structure. A analog interface allows for data aquisition via chromatography data system software. Measuring cells for semi-preparative and SFC applications available upon request.
