Why to measure conductivity?
Measurement of conductivity is interesting for various applications including HPLC, purification of biomolecules (FPLC) and production of lipid nanoparticles (LNP).
A highly sensitive conductivity detector is needed for example in ion chromatography or organic acid analysis. In the field of FPLC, control of the salt gradient and combining it with triggered fractionation is the most common usage of a conductivity monitor. Furthermore, a monitor can be used to keep the overview about cleaning-in-place processes even in large production skids.
